Woman Arrested in Overnight Stabbing in Glynn County Domestic Disturbance
BRUNSWICK, Georgia – One person is in custody following a reported stabbing at a residence on Dusty Lane early Monday morning.
Officers with the Glynn County Police Department responded to the call around 12:49 a.m. on Monday, January 19th. When officers arrived, they located a victim suffering from a single stab wound.
Glynn County Fire Rescue provided emergency care at the scene before transporting the victim to the Southeast Georgia Health System-Brunswick Campus. Authorities said the victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Investigators identified the suspect as 22-year-old Grace Freeman, who was located at the residence. Freeman was taken to Glynn County Police Department headquarters for questioning. Detectives later obtained a search warrant for the home to process the scene and recover evidence.
Following the investigation, Freeman was arrested and transported to the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office. She faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault (family violence), possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, false imprisonment, and battery (family violence).
