Second Suspect Arrested for Macon Shell Gas Station Homicide

MACON, Ga. – Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators have made a second arrest in connection with the Shell gas station shooting that left 27-year-old Ahmad Shahid Roberts dead. On January 1st, deputies had arrested Malik Harris.

Investigators identified 25-year-old Desmond Dewayne Hill of Macon, GA, as an additional suspect in the case. Hill was taken into custody without incident at the River Bend Apartments on Mercer University Drive during the execution of an arrest warrant connected to another homicide investigation.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were at the apartment complex serving warrants for 28-year-old Malik Harris, who is also charged in the Roberts homicide and is wanted in connection with the December 23, 2025 killing of 26-year-old Travon Maurice Harden at the Economy Hotel on Pio Nono Avenue.

During the Shell Gas Station incident, Hill sustained a gunshot wound and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. After being medically cleared, Hill was transported to the Bibb County Jail, where he has been charged with murder.
