Atlanta Police Respond to Large Juvenile Disturbance, Fireworks and Gunfire at Atlantic Station
ATLANTA, Ga. – On Saturday evening, December 27, 2025, the Atlanta Police Department responded to Atlantic Station after reports of a fight involving juveniles at 1371 Market Street SW.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a large crowd of young people, with fireworks being ignited in and around the shopping and entertainment complex. Officers coordinated a safe dispersal of the crowd, deploying additional resources from across the city, including the Phoenix Air Unit, K-9 Unit, and the Georgia State Patrol. No injuries were reported during the initial dispersal.
At approximately 9:44 p.m., officers observed a group of juveniles exchanging gunfire near 17th Street and Spring Street SW, causing damage to nearby businesses. Again, no injuries were reported, though five juveniles were detained as part of the investigation.
The Atlanta Police Department continues to investigate and will pursue appropriate charges. Authorities reminded the public that safety and accountability remain top priorities during large gatherings.
