Townsend Man Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children Following Online Tip
Townsend, Georgia – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested Justin Daniel Boone, 26, of Townsend, on charges of Sexual Exploitation of Children.
The arrest, which took place on December 15, 2025, followed a two-month investigation into Boone’s online activity.
The Investigation
In October 2025, the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit initiated an investigation after receiving a CyberTipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The report flagged the possible online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the GBI CEACC Unit to conduct the investigation and execute the arrest. Following his arrest, Boone was booked into the McIntosh County Jail.
