Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Mourns Death of Investigator Patrick Kinsey
AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of Investigator Patrick Kinsey, a longtime member of the agency who served the community for more than 27 years.
Kinsey began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in March 1998 and was promoted to the rank of Investigator in December 2012. Throughout his career, he was known as a dedicated public servant who carried out his duties with integrity, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the people of Richmond County.
Sheriff Eugene Brantley, along with the command staff of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, expressed their deepest condolences to Kinsey’s family, friends, and colleagues, noting that his passing is a profound loss to the agency and the community it serves.
Visitation for Investigator Kinsey will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Elliott and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be followed by a procession to Bellevue Memorial Gardens and Chapel.
Officials said Investigator Kinsey’s legacy of service and dedication will be remembered and honored by those who had the privilege of working alongside him. The Sheriff’s Office has asked the public to keep his family and the department in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
