Clerk Shot in Hand During Altercation at Warner Robins Convenience Store
WARNER ROBINS, GA – Warner Robins Police are investigating an aggravated assault involving a firearm after a store clerk was shot during an altercation Monday afternoon at the Friendly Food Store.
Officers were dispatched to the business at 210 Chilton Place on December 15, 2025, after reports of a shooting inside the store. When officers arrived, they learned a dispute had occurred between a customer and a store clerk.
According to investigators, the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Laquanda Fluellen, had been using gaming machines inside the store and demanded to be paid in cash. When the clerk, 32-year-old Zoheb Sohani, refused, police say Fluellen became angry and began yelling.
The situation escalated when Fluellen allegedly grabbed a fire extinguisher and chased the clerk around the store. The clerk was able to knock the extinguisher out of her hands. Police say Fluellen then pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the clerk. During a struggle over the weapon, the gun discharged, striking the clerk in the hand.
After the shooting, Fluellen fled the store but was later located and detained by officers in the area of Button Drive and Chilton Place. Police say she was found in possession of the firearm at the time of her arrest.
The injured clerk was transported to Atrium Health for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
