Second Teen Captured in New York Wanted for Fatal October Shooting in Southwest Atlanta
Atlanta, GA – Authorities have made a second arrest in connection with a fatal October shooting in Southwest Atlanta.
On October 18, 2025, at approximately 10:02 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 4 officers responded to reports of a shooting at 2070 Alison Court SW. Upon arrival, officers found a 33-year-old male victim who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The investigation, led by the Atlanta Police Homicide Unit, identified multiple suspects involved in the incident.
On November 4, 2025, officers with the Auto Crimes Enforcement Unit took 20-year-old Tremeico Watson into custody on unrelated traffic offenses. Following this, the Homicide Unit secured arrest warrants charging Watson with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
On December 11, 2025, 19-year-old Ranique Crawford was taken into custody in Brooklyn, New York, in coordination with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, the New York Police Department, and the Atlanta Police Department Fugitive Unit. Crawford faces the same charges as Watson and is currently awaiting extradition to Atlanta.
