Neighbor Arrested for Grantville Home and Vehicle Burglary

GRANTVILLE, GA – On Thursday, December 11th, the Grantville Police Department arrested a local man in connection with a burglary that occurred earlier that morning.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., a resident in the 40 Block of Hill Top Circle called 911, reporting that their home may have been broken into. Officers responded and discovered evidence indicating that both the residence and a vehicle parked at the property had been unlawfully entered.

Investigators reviewed security camera footage, which led to the identification of a suspect. Shortly after 12:30 p.m., 21-year-old Colvin Lee Youmans, who lives next door to the victim, was taken into custody.

Youmans was booked into the Coweta County Jail on charges of first-degree burglary and entering an automobile. His total bond is set at $5,500. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
