Swainsboro Woman Fatally Found at Home; Man Arrested for Murder

Swainsboro, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating the death of 34-year-old Amber Nichole Fields of Swainsboro, GA, at the request of the Swainsboro Police Department.

Fields was discovered deceased inside her home on the 600 block of North Coleman Street Extension by a family member after she failed to report for work. Authorities interviewed witnesses and are pursuing all leads.

The incident is being treated as a homicide. On Monday, December 8, 2025, 40-year-old Charles Justin Davis, also of Swainsboro, was arrested and charged with one felony count of malice murder in connection with Fields’ death.
