Man Arrested After Firing at Girlfriend During Vehicle Chase in Macon
MACON, GA – A Bibb County man is behind bars after deputies say he chased his girlfriend in a vehicle and fired multiple shots at her early Sunday morning.
The incident happened just after 2 a.m. on November 16 near Napier Avenue and Pio Nono Avenue. According to the sheriff’s office, the woman called 911 while being pursued by her boyfriend, reporting that he was shooting at her car as she drove.
Deputies quickly located both vehicles and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection. The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Eric Duane Glover, was detained. Investigators recovered a firearm with an extended magazine from his vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Glover was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless conduct, discharging a firearm on or near a roadway, and criminal damage to property. He is being held without bond.
