GBI Assists Toccoa Police in Investigation of Motel Death
Toccoa, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Toccoa Police Department in the investigation of the death of 50-year-old Dennis Paul Clouse.
On Thursday, November 13, 2025, at approximately 10:40 a.m., Toccoa Police were dispatched to a motel room after staff discovered Clouse deceased. He was the only registered guest in the room. Officers secured the scene and requested GBI assistance to ensure a thorough investigation.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Preliminary findings indicate that the death appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the public.
An autopsy will be conducted at the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Decatur to determine the cause and manner of death. Authorities continue to gather evidence and ask anyone with relevant information to contact the Toccoa Police Department.
