Marco Cueto-Rosales, 47, of Malinalco, Mexico, has been arraigned on federal drug charges following the seizure of 325 pounds of methamphetamine from a Norcross storage unit on October 10, 2025.

Cueto-Rosales, who was unlawfully in the United States at the time, faces federal charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on October 28, 2025, and arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Regina D. Cannon.

According to U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg, DEA agents observed Cueto-Rosales moving items in plastic totes and trash bags inside the unit. A Gwinnett County Police K9 later alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to the execution of a federal search warrant. Agents recovered nearly 1,500 packages of methamphetamine, weighing a total of 325 pounds.

Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Atlanta Division Robert J. Murphy emphasized the danger posed by the drugs, noting the seizure prevents them from entering the community and threatening families with violence and addiction.

Cueto-Rosales is currently in custody, and the case is being investigated by the DEA with assistance from the Gwinnett County Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew R. LaGrone is prosecuting the case.
