GBI Arrests Moultrie Man on Child Molestation and Attempted Rape Charges

MOULTRIE, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested Lee Roy Baillargeon, 33, of Moultrie, following a child molestation investigation in Colquitt County.

The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office requested GBI assistance on Thursday, October 30, 2025. The investigation determined that the alleged offenses occurred between March 2025 and August 2025, and that Baillargeon knew the victim.

Baillargeon was arrested on November 3, 2025, and booked into the Colquitt County Jail on the following charges:

  • Three counts of Child Molestation
  • One count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Rape

This case remains active and ongoing and will be turned over to the Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review upon completion.
