Three Arrested After Reported Highway Chase and Shots Fired in Lee County

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three people following a vehicle chase and reports of gunfire along U.S. Highway 19 South on October 30, 2025.

Deputies responded around 1200 block of Highway 19 after multiple callers reported that a gold Honda Accord was chasing a gray Honda Accord and that shots may have been fired during the pursuit.

Deputies quickly located both vehicles and detained the occupants of the gold Honda, identified as Nariyah Cauley and Jordyan Keith. A firearm matching witness descriptions was later found along Highway 19.

A short time later, a second traffic stop was conducted on the gray Honda in the 3000 block of North Slappey Boulevard. The driver, Zhane Daniels, was detained after deputies recovered suspected marijuana and stolen merchandise from the vehicle.

After further investigation, the following charges were filed:

  • Nariyah Cauley: Aggravated Assault (x3), Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, Suspended Registration, Improper Use of Center Turn Lane
  • Jordyan Keith: Aggravated Assault (x3), Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Zhane Daniels: Driving While License Suspended, Theft by Taking, Possession of a Controlled Substance

All three suspects were booked into the Lee County Jail.

No injuries were reported, and investigators are still working to determine whether any shots were actually fired.
