Woman Arrested in DUI Hit-and-Run That Injured E-Bicyclist in Savannah

The Chatham County Police Department arrested a suspect in connection with a DUI hit-and-run that left one person seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in Savannah.

Around 3:15 p.m. on October 22, 2025, officers responded to Ferguson Avenue after receiving a report of a hit-and-run involving an e-bicyclist. The adult male victim suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Following an investigation, officers identified and located the suspected driver.

Police arrested 52-year-old Tara Denise Collins-Greenway and charged her with hit and run, serious injury by motor vehicle, and driving under the influence. She was booked into the Chatham County Detention Center.
