Infant Dead After Being Found Unresponsive in a Vehicle in Lee County

On October 16, 2025, an infant was discovered unresponsive in a vehicle at a local business in Lee County, Georgia. The child was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA, where the infant was pronounced deceased. The body was later sent to the State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.

At the request of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation into the death. The case remains active and ongoing.
