Chatham County Police Arrest Woman After Shooting at Thunderbird Motel
CHATHAM COUNTY, GA — A woman has been arrested after a Sunday morning shooting at a Chatham County motel left another woman hospitalized, according to the Chatham County Police Department.
Just before 11 a.m. on October 19, 2025, officers responded to the Thunderbird Motel at 4015 Ogeechee Road in Savannah, GA, following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators determined that the incident was not random, the victim and the suspect knew each other.
A short time later, officers located the suspect, 39-year-old Jocelyn Comacho, hiding in a nearby wooded area. She was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Giving a False Name.
Comacho was booked into the Chatham County Detention Center. The case remains under investigation by Chatham County Police detectives.
