Savannah Police Make Multiple Arrests in Recent Shootings

The Savannah Police Department has made arrests in two separate shooting incidents this fall.

On September 27, 2025, officers responded to the 20 block of Darling Street around 1:50 p.m. for a reported shooting. An adult male victim was later treated at Memorial Health University Medical Center for a gunshot wound to his foot. Messiah Holmes, 18, was apprehended on October 9 with assistance from the U.S. Marshals and faces charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of marijuana.

In a separate incident, on October 9 at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Eisenhower Drive after reports of gunfire. Three adult male victims were located; one succumbed to injuries while the other two were treated at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Marion Harris, 26, was arrested that evening and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
