Fatal Head-On Collision Under Investigation in Cobb County
Cobb County Police are investigating a fatal collision on Lower Roswell Road east of Shadowlawn Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that a black Honda Accord, driven by a 23-year-old woman from Hiram, crossed into the westbound lane for reasons still under investigation. The Honda collided head-on with a gray Lexus RX350, driven by a 45-year-old woman from Marietta.
The driver of the Honda was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The Lexus driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.) Unit is handling the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call 770-499-3987.
