Serious Crash on Georgia 400 Leaves Two Hospitalized in Cumming

CUMMING, Ga. – Two people were seriously injured in a crash Saturday on Georgia State Route 400 between Mary Alice and Bald Ridge roads, just south of exit 15.

According to the City of Cumming Police Department, a Ford F-150 rear-ended a Kia SUV, causing the Kia to overturn in the middle of the highway. Both occupants of the Kia suffered head injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford F-150 sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

The department’s accident reconstruction team is leading the investigation, processing the scene for evidence and interviewing witnesses. Both vehicles have been towed for further examination. No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.

In a statement, the department emphasized its commitment to roadway safety, reminding drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians to stay alert and follow traffic laws. “Every accident affects more than just the people involved,” the statement read. “Our thoughts are with these victims, and we wish for a full recovery.”
