Albany Police Investigating Two Separate Shootings That Left Three Injured

Albany, Georgia – Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred this week, leaving three people hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
The first incident happened on October 7, 2025, around 8:22 p.m. in the 900 block of Cherry Avenue. Officers found a 17-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the arm and leg, and an 18-year-old male who had been shot in the buttock. Both victims were taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
Two days later, on October 9, 2025, around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of West Whitney Avenue for another shooting. A 22-year-old man had been shot multiple times and was also transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Police have not said whether the two shootings are connected. Both cases remain under investigation.
