Franklin, Madison County Deputies End Pursuit With Arrest on Highway 29

FRANKLIN COUNTY, GA – On Monday, September 29, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., deputies were alerted to a vehicle fleeing from Madison County Sheriff’s deputies along Highway 29. The suspect vehicle, a silver Toyota passenger car, drove through barricades, crossed a bridge under construction, and entered Franklin County.

Franklin County deputies quickly joined the pursuit. A deputy deployed stop sticks, successfully deflating the vehicle’s tires. Despite this, the driver, identified as Jared Lonnie Moore of Forsyth, Georgia, continued to flee until a Franklin County deputy performed a precision immobilization technique (PIT), safely bringing the pursuit to an end.

Moore was taken into custody without further incident and faces multiple charges, including theft of a motor vehicle. Authorities commended the coordinated response, crediting deputies from both counties for ending the pursuit before any other motorists were harmed.
