Porterdale Police Arrest Woman in Ongoing Theft of Services Investigation

PORTERDALE, GA – On September 25, 2025, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Porterdale Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with suspended registration and served two arrest warrants stemming from an ongoing investigation.
The passenger, Julie Freeman, was wanted in connection with two theft of services incidents at the Yellow River Ale House, 2001 Main Street, Porterdale, GA. After multiple complaints were received, Officer Brent Morrison conducted an investigation that led to probable cause and the issuance of warrants.
Freeman was arrested on two misdemeanor counts of Theft of Services (OCGA 16-8-5) and also cited for suspended registration.
The Porterdale Police Department emphasized its commitment to public safety and maintaining community trust through thorough investigations. Authorities also noted that Freeman, like all individuals, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
