Roswell Man Arrested After Fatally Shooting Father During Argument

ROSWELL, GA – A 29-year-old Roswell man has been arrested after police say he fatally shot his father during an argument Thursday morning.
The Roswell Police Department identified the suspect as Tristan Dinnall, who is now facing charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the death of his father, 56-year-old Gary Clark.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m. on September 25, Roswell E-911 received reports of a shooting inside the Rosemont Apartment Homes at 1900 Rosemont Parkway. Officers arrived to find Clark dead inside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds.
As officers responded, a family member who witnessed the shooting gave police a description of Dinnall and the vehicle he was driving. Within minutes, an officer spotted the car and conducted a traffic stop, detaining Dinnall without incident.
Investigators determined that Clark and Dinnall had argued earlier that morning, and during the altercation Dinnall allegedly retrieved a handgun and shot his father before leaving the scene. Police believe this was an isolated, domestic-related incident, and say there are no other suspects at large.
Dinnall was booked into the Fulton County Jail later that same day. The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-4100 or provide anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
