Woman Found Dead From Stabbing at Stone Mountain Residence

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — On Thursday, September 25, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers from the Gwinnett County Police Department’s South Precinct responded to a “person down” call in the 3000 block of Deshong Drive in Stone Mountain.

When officers arrived, they found an adult female deceased with apparent stab wounds. Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to investigate and collect evidence.

A female family member was identified as a possible suspect and, with the help of uniformed officers, was detained in another part of the county. Detectives are currently questioning her. Police believe the incident was domestic-related.

The victim’s name will be released once next-of-kin notifications are made.
