Gwinnett Man Arrested for Cocaine Trafficking and Firearm Possession

BUFORD, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 59-year-old Marvin Stanley Cottrell of Buford following a drug and weapons investigation.

On Friday, September 19, 2025, agents and deputies executed a search warrant at Cottrell’s residence in Buford. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately five ounces of suspected cocaine and a firearm. Cottrell, a convicted felon, was charged with Trafficking Cocaine and Firearm Possession by a Felon.
