Florida Man Charged in Georgia Multi-County Auto Theft Investigation

On September 11, 2025, the Jones County Sheriff’s Office obtained warrants for Lucas Neria Rebolledo, of Live Oak, Florida, on eight counts of Entering Auto.

The investigation began after a firearm was reported stolen in Jones County on August 20, 2025, which was later recovered in Suwannee County, Florida. Further investigation linked Rebolledo to a group responsible for entering autos across multiple counties, including Pierce County, Georgia. Deputies confirmed Rebolledo’s vehicle was in Jones County during the thefts, and a co-defendant corroborated his involvement.

This case remains under active investigation, and additional charges may follow. Authorities thanked law enforcement partners in Georgia and Florida for their assistance.
