Man Sentenced to Life Without Parole for Manager’s Murder in Leesburg
Leesburg, GA – On September 8, 2025, Daquan Divonte Harris pleaded guilty in Lee County Superior Court for the May 3, 2024, murder of his manager at Little Caesars, Joseph “Joey” Dorminey.
Judge W. James Sizemore, Jr. sentenced Harris to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Evidence presented during the proceedings revealed that Harris fatally shot Mr. Dorminey at the Little Caesars Pizza restaurant located at 1545 US-19, Ste. B, Leesburg, GA. The crime occurred as Mr. Dorminey was closing the business and placing money into the store’s safe.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office expressed their continued thoughts and prayers to Mr. Dorminey’s family, friends, and coworkers, stating that justice has now been served.
