Four Macon Women Arrested After Felony Shoplifting Investigation

MACON, Ga.—Four women have been arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident at a local Bath and Body Works.

On September 8, at 11:03 a.m., the Macon Bibb E-911 Center received a call about multiple females concealing merchandise inside bags at the store, located on Presidential Parkway. The women were seen leaving the property in a dark Honda Accord.

A witness and an investigator located the vehicle in a parking lot on Mercer University Drive. Patrol deputies arrived and all four suspects were apprehended without incident. All the stolen merchandise was recovered.

The suspects were identified as Dondrea Katia Sallad, 28; Yarshae Remairia Dent, 32; Nigeria Lashaine McClendon, 30; and Ashele Shana Floyd Syed, 34. They were all transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Sallad was charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting and was wanted in connection with four previous cases. McClendon was also charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting and was wanted for a previous case. Dent was charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting and Probation Violation. Syed was charged with Felony Theft by Shoplifting.

All four suspects are being held without bond.
