Muscogee County Deputies Arrest Two, Seize Stolen Firearms Including Fully Automatic Weapon

COLUMBUS, GA – The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced the arrest of two individuals during a recent traffic stop that also resulted in the seizure of multiple stolen firearms, including a machine gun conversion device.
During routine patrol, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet Malibu. The driver, Trevarios Lee, had an active warrant for Attempted Murder issued by the Phenix City Police Department. Lee attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.
The passenger, Demeteius Seats, also had active warrants, including Aggravated Assault out of Dekalb County and a felony Violation of Probation out of Harris County, Georgia. Both individuals were taken into custody without further incident.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed:
- An AR-15 pistol reported stolen through Phenix City PD
- A Glock Model 21 pistol reported stolen through Phenix City PD
- A Glock pistol modified with a machine gun conversion device (“switch”), making it fully automatic
Charges for Trevarios Lee include:
- Fugitive from Justice – Alabama for Attempted Murder
- Felony Possession of a Machine Gun
- Felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts)
- Misdemeanor Obstruction of an Officer
- Misdemeanor Suspended Registration
Charges for Demeteius Seats include:
- Felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts)
- Felony Hold for Dekalb County – Aggravated Assault
- Felony Hold for Harris County – Violation of Probation
- Misdemeanor Giving False Name
