Stone Mountain Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting on San Pablo Drive

Stone Mountain, GA — In the early hours of Tuesday, August 26, at approximately 2:27 a.m., Stone Mountain officers and Stone Mountain Park Police responded to a reported shooting on San Pablo Drive.

When officers arrived, they located a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the left side of the chest. Emergency medical personnel provided aid at the scene before transporting the victim to Grady Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

The Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the case. Preliminary findings indicate the incident is believed to be isolated, with the parties involved not known to one another. Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
