Eight Juveniles, One Adult Apprehended in Connection with Macon Assaults

MACON, Ga.—Eight juveniles and one adult have been arrested in connection with aggravated assault investigations on Mint Green Lane and Silver Pines, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, August 22, investigators, with assistance from the SWAT team and Gang Unit, arrested two 14-year-old males in Murphy Homes Macon Housing. The juveniles were charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the Mint Green Lane incident. They were taken to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.
These two arrests are in addition to previous arrests made in both investigations. The Sheriff’s Office provided a summary of the charges for all individuals involved:
Mint Green Lane Aggravated Assault
- One 12-year-old male charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Released to parents.
- Three 14-year-old males charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. All transported to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.
Silver Pines Aggravated Assault
- One 13-year-old male charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Transported to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.
- Two 15-year-old males charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Both transported to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.
- Tauquavious Dean, 17, charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Georgia State Patrol and the Board of Education Police Department for their assistance in the investigations.
