Macon Deputies Investigate Male With Firearm, No Threat Found

MACON, GA — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded Tuesday morning to reports of a male spotted with a firearm on Riverside Park Boulevard.

At 7:40 a.m., the Macon Bibb Emergency 911 Center received calls about the individual. Deputies quickly arrived in the area and located the subject nearby. According to the sheriff’s office, the man fully cooperated with deputies during the investigation.

Officials confirmed the individual was legally carrying his firearm, was not near a school, and there were no active shooter threats. Following the investigation, the subject was released.

Deputies emphasized the situation was resolved safely and no criminal activity was found.
