Man Dies in Warner Robins House Fire; Firefighter Injured During Rescue

On Thursday night, August 14, 2025, a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Horseshoe Drive in Warner Robins claimed the life of an adult male.

Houston County 911 received reports of heavy smoke and flames at approximately 10:41 p.m., with callers indicating that the resident might still be inside. Fire crews arrived five minutes later and confirmed the severe fire conditions.

Despite the intense flames, firefighters entered the home and located the occupant, removing him from the structure. He was transported to Emory Healthcare – Warner Robins but later died from his injuries.

During the rescue, a firefighter sustained minor burns and is currently being treated at Emory Healthcare; he is expected to be released soon.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
