Four Girls Injured After SUV Strikes Pedestrians in Bibb County Collision

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a collision reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 4:56 p.m. on Thursday, August 14.
Investigators say a gold sedan was traveling east on Mumford Road and attempted to turn left toward Case Street, colliding with a black SUV traveling west on Mumford Road. The SUV veered off the roadway and struck four minor female pedestrians standing near the Mumford Road and Case Street intersection.
All four girls were transported by ambulance to a local medical facility. Medical staff reported they are in stable condition.
The driver of the sedan was cited for No Insurance, Suspended Registration, Driving While Unlicensed, and Failure to Yield While Turning Left. The owner of the sedan was cited for Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to Operate a Motor Vehicle.
The collision remains under investigation.
