Chatham County Man Arrested in Morning Stabbing on West Gateway Boulevard

The Chatham County Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing that left one man with non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning.

Officers responded around 8:00 a.m. to the 0 block of West Gateway Boulevard, where they found an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives quickly identified and arrested 23-year-old Tyres Key, charging him with aggravated assault. Key is being held at the Chatham County Detention Center.

Investigators say the stabbing was an isolated incident between two people who knew each other.
