Wanted Felons Among Three Arrested in Gordon County Meth Bust

GORDON COUNTY, GA – A traffic stop on Tuesday, July 29, led to the arrest of three men on drug and weapons charges after a large amount of methamphetamine was discovered.
Gordon County deputy sheriffs stopped a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of State Route 53 and Outlet Center Drive. Two of the occupants, brothers Brandon Lee Blackburn, 27, and Ryan Michael Blackburn, 33, were found to have outstanding felony warrants and were taken into custody without incident.
The driver, Mario Santana, 42, of Calhoun, was also arrested after a search of the vehicle yielded a large amount of methamphetamine.
A subsequent search of Santana’s motel room uncovered even more methamphetamine and an illegally held firearm.
All three men were charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine. Santana faces additional charges for firearms violations. All three are being held in the county jail.
