Man Arrested After Stabbing Brother in Royston

ROYSTON, GA – A Royston man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly stabbed his brother and then fled into nearby woods. The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 6, at the Days Inn Motel.
When Royston Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Travis John Hill with a laceration to his arm. Travis identified his brother, Christopher Lee Hill, as the assailant. Christopher had fled the scene.
A multi-agency search was launched with assistance from the Hart County and Franklin County Sheriff’s departments. Royston Firefighter Brady Roberts also deployed a heat-detecting drone, which helped locate Christopher Hill after a short search.
Christopher Hill was arrested without incident and transported to the Hart County Detention Center. He is charged with Aggravated Assault Domestic Violence, Possession of a Knife during the Commission of a Crime, and Obstruction. The Royston Police Department thanked all assisting agencies for their quick response, which allowed them to render aid to the victim and apprehend the suspect within minutes.
