Barricaded Suspect Arrested in Warner Robins After SWAT Standoff

WARNER ROBINS, GA – A 33-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning after barricading himself inside a residence following a family violence call. The incident concluded peacefully with no injuries to anyone involved.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Warner Robins Police officers responded to a family violence call in the 300 block of Athens Street. Upon arrival, they made contact with family members who were the victims, but the male suspect barricaded himself inside the home.

The Warner Robins Police Department’s SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Teams were deployed to the scene. Crisis negotiation efforts were also assisted by representatives from the Georgia Crisis Line. As a precaution, the Houston County Board of Education was advised of the situation for potential school bus route adjustments.

The standoff concluded at 5:25 a.m., when the subject was taken into custody. Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries to first responders or any parties involved in the incident.
