Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Seizes $2.3 Million in Drugs, 37 Firearms in 60-Day Operation

COLUMBUS, GA – Over the past 60 days, the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) executed 22 search warrants resulting in the arrests of 47 individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs valued at approximately $2.3 million, along with 37 firearms and over $143,000 in U.S. currency.
The wide-ranging operation targeted violent crime, drug trafficking, and exploitation offenses. Arrests included individuals charged with murder, attempted murder, drug trafficking, and sexual exploitation of children. Among the seizures were:
- 179.7 lbs. of marijuana ($815,280 estimated value)
- 20.2 lbs. of cocaine ($918,300)
- 11.4 lbs. of methamphetamine ($521,320)
- 153 grams of fentanyl ($63,600)
- 145 grams of ecstasy ($3,950)
- 49 grams of heroin ($19,600)
- $143,194 in cash
- 37 firearms
- 18 vehicles pending seizure
MCSO credited its Collaborative Intelligence Group, HEAT Unit, Sex Offender Task Force, Special Operations Unit, and Uniform Patrol Bureau, as well as partnering agencies including the FBI, DEA, GBI, Georgia State Patrol, and sheriff’s offices in Harris, Coweta, Talbot, Russell, and Lee counties.
Many of the cases have been bound over to Superior Court, and additional charges may be pending. Investigations remain ongoing.
