Macon Teen Arrested After Drugs and Loaded Firearm Found During Reynolds Traffic Stop

REYNOLDS, GA — A routine traffic stop in Reynolds on July 29, 2025, led to the arrest of a Macon man after police discovered drugs and a loaded firearm inside the vehicle.
According to the Reynolds Police Department, Sergeant Harrell initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with dark window tint and an inoperable brake light traveling through the city. Upon making contact with the 19-year-old driver, identified as Camden Tyler Sylvia, and a juvenile passenger, Harrell developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
During the search, officers located a quantity of marijuana, THC wax (a Schedule I controlled substance), and a loaded Taurus firearm.
Sylvia, a white male from Macon, Georgia, was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:
- Violation of Georgia Controlled Substances Act – Schedule I (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
- Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor)
- Possession of Drug-Related Objects (Misdemeanor)
- Window Tint Violation (Misdemeanor)
The juvenile passenger’s status and involvement have not been released. The case remains under investigation.
