Former Tribe Transportation Manager Accused of Embezzling Over 0,000

GAINESVILLE, GA – Dustin Jarrard, 38, a former operations manager at Tribe Transportation in Gainesville, has been arraigned on federal wire fraud charges after allegedly embezzling more than $500,000 from the company between 2018 and 2024.

“Jarrard allegedly stole more than $500,000 that was intended to help truckers on the road,” said U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg. “We will hold accountable those who abuse their positions of trust and embezzle funds for their personal use.”

According to federal prosecutors, Jarrard had the authority to request expense reimbursements for company drivers. Over a period of several years, he allegedly submitted false reimbursement requests, including those for drivers who were not employed by Tribe Transportation and expenses that were never incurred. Some legitimate drivers were enlisted in the scheme and later funneled money back to Jarrard.

The fraudulent requests led to the company issuing payments that Jarrard ultimately used for personal gain.

Jarrard was indicted by a federal grand jury on July 22, 2025, and was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Anna W. Howard.

The investigation is being led by the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Keen is prosecuting the case.

An indictment is a formal charge and not evidence of guilt. Jarrard is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
