Multiple Shooting Scenes in Southeast Atlanta Leave One Dead, Five Injured

ATLANTA — On Thursday, July 24, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Atlanta Police officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire across the southeast side of the city, resulting in one death and several injuries.

The first call brought officers to 245 Oak Dr. SE, where they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. An 18-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene. A 21-year-old female who was shot in the shoulder was transported to a hospital and is listed in stable condition.

At the same time, officers were dispatched to a second location at 50 Mt Zion Rd SW regarding multiple people shot. Three additional victims were found at that scene and transported to the hospital. One of the victims was listed in critical condition.

As part of the ongoing investigation, officers conducted a traffic stop on a dark-colored sedan near Old Hapeville Rd SW and Cleveland Ave SW. During the stop, a rear passenger was discovered with a gunshot wound to the leg and transported to the hospital.

Investigators believe that all the incidents are connected, with the primary shooting location identified as 279 Oak Dr. SE. Aggravated Assault and Homicide units are leading the investigation, which remains active and ongoing.
