Athens Man Arrested After Drugs, Guns, and Cash Seized in Apartment Raid

ATHENS, GA — A follow-up search warrant executed on July 22, 2025, by the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force led to the arrest of 47-year-old Corby Antwan Faust after authorities recovered narcotics, firearms, and U.S. currency from his residence.

The warrant was carried out in the 700 block of Mitchell Bridge Road with assistance from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol. The investigation originated from a previous traffic stop in which Faust was found in possession of a pistol and one kilogram of cocaine.

During the apartment search, officers located Schedule II pharmaceuticals, three additional pistols, an AR-style pistol, a ballistic vest, and approximately $6,000 in cash. They also recovered multiple extended magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition—including 410 and 12-gauge shotgun shells, and .50AE caliber pistol rounds.

Faust was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of Schedule I-II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes.
