Arrest Made in April Fatal Shooting on Tatem Street in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA – An arrest has been made in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on April 5, 2025, in the 800 block of Tatem Street. Nyquan Small, 30, turned himself in to authorities on July 22, 2025, and was taken into custody on outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and felony murder.

The Savannah Police Department began investigating the incident after officers responded to the 800 block of Tatem Street at around 10:45 p.m. on April 5, following ShotSpotter reports. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries. At the time, officers interviewed several witnesses and collected evidence at the scene.

Small now faces charges related to the incident that resulted in the victim’s death. The investigation remains ongoing.
