Teen Driver Going 95 MPH on I-75 Arrested on Felony Assault Warrant in Macon

A teenage female driver was taken into custody by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit Deputy Dalton Palmer after being clocked at 95 mph on Interstate 75 near the Hartley Bridge Road exit in Macon.
The traffic stop led to the discovery that the driver was wanted on a felony aggravated assault family violence warrant. She was arrested at the scene.
A second H.E.A.T. Unit deputy brought the teen’s mother to the location to care for the driver’s young child, who was in the backseat of the Honda Accord, and to take possession of the vehicle.
The H.E.A.T. (Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic) Unit, funded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, focuses on combating aggressive driving and identifying impaired drivers.
