18-Year-Old Wanted for Aggravated Battery After Cyclist Struck in Columbus Hit-and-Run

An 18-year-old man is wanted by police following a May 28 hit-and-run incident that left a cyclist severely injured in the 400 block of 1st Avenue.

Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad initially responded to the scene at approximately 1:17 p.m. The investigation was later transferred to the Violent Crimes Unit after evidence indicated the crash was intentional.

Detectives identified the suspect as Jaquavion Daise. According to CPD, Daise deliberately used a vehicle to strike the cyclist, resulting in serious injuries. Authorities have obtained an arrest warrant charging Daise with Aggravated Battery.
