27-Year-Old Macon Man Killed in Early Morning Pedestrian Crash on Eisenhower Parkway

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision involving a pedestrian that occurred early Tuesday morning, July 8, 2025, in the 1600 block of Eisenhower Parkway.
The crash was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center just before 6:00 a.m. Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered a 27-year-old male lying unresponsive on the roadway. Witnesses reported that a motorist driving a Chevrolet truck was traveling eastbound on Eisenhower Parkway when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was running across the road.
The pedestrian, later identified as Jawarren Johnson of Macon, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased due to injuries sustained in the crash. Coroner Leon Jones confirmed that Johnson’s next of kin has been notified.
