Warner Robins Woman Indicted for $5.4 Million Medicaid Fraud Scheme

Elizabeth Sue Ivester, 62, has been federally indicted for allegedly defrauding the Georgia Medicaid program of more than $5.4 million, announced Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr and the Department of Justice.
Ivester, owner of Liberty Medical, Inc., faces charges including Conspiracy to Commit Health Care Fraud, Health Care Fraud, and Aggravated Identity Theft. The indictment alleges she submitted false claims for 77,095 pieces of durable medical equipment (DME) that were neither ordered nor supplied to Medicaid recipients. The scheme involved unlawfully using Medicaid recipients’ identification numbers and falsely representing physician orders.
The indictment was returned by a federal grand jury on May 14, 2025. Ivester was arrested and arraigned on June 17, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, Macon Division.
This case is part of the Department of Justice’s 2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown, which brought charges against 324 defendants nationwide for schemes targeting healthcare programs for the elderly and disabled.
Prosecutors emphasize the importance of holding Medicaid fraud offenders accountable to protect taxpayer dollars and patient care.
