Walker County Woman Sentenced to 20 Years After Selling Meth to Undercover Agent

A methamphetamine dealer has been sentenced to 20 years, with 10 to serve in prison, following a sting operation conducted by the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force.
Sara Carroll was arrested on September 3, 2024, after a confidential informant alerted investigators that she was actively dealing meth. DTF agents arranged a controlled buy, during which Carroll arrived at a pre-arranged location with 44 grams (approximately 1.5 ounces) of methamphetamine. The drugs were seized and Carroll was taken into custody on site.
She was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute. On May 1, 2025, Carroll pled guilty in Walker County Superior Court and was sentenced to 20 years, with the first 10 to be served in the Georgia Department of Corrections. Upon release, she will be banished from the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit for the remainder of her probation.
The case was prosecuted by Chief Assistant District Attorney Lynsay Chapman.
